Counselling
I am an integrative counsellor and work in two main modalities which are Psychodynamic and Person Centered.
Psychodynamic – is about exploring difficult feelings and experiences that have happened in the past e.g. a bad relationship, which is affecting the present, i.e. a present relationship. This is usually done on an unconscious level and the person does not realise this is happening.
Person Centered – is about exploring how the client is feeling now about themselves, how they feel that people perceive them and how people may have contributed to who they are today. Person Centered is more about the here and now.
CBT – Cognitive Behavior Therapy – This can help a client manage problems by changing the way they think and behave. It is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression.
Therapy formats – Due to the lockdown and social distancing regulations, we now recommend a majority of our sessions are held over the zoom application. This application has been essential for us to continue face to face therapy sessions, consultations or simply an initial chat.
Below is a link to enable you to download and use Zoom for our sessions. Once installed we will send you an invite by email.
