Your first session is a chance to get to know each other. I will talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and how we might work together. You’re welcome to ask questions at any time, there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with.
Sessions typically last [50 minutes] for face to face or online, though some formats (e.g., couples or family sessions) may run longer. We’ll discuss what works best for your needs.
Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, but we’ll find a rhythm that feels right for you. Therapy is flexible and can be adjusted as you progress.
Yes, I offer secure online sessions via [Zoom / MS Teams], so you can attend from the comfort of your home. We also offer phone audio sessions. We can adapt to whatever you feel comfortable with.
Yes. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (such as safety concerns). I talk through this during our first session so you feel informed and secure.
That’s okay, many people feel uncertain at first. I offer a free/no-obligation initial 10 minute chat so we can talk things through and see if it feels like a good fit.
